Verona Sunvold started selling these hand made embroidered lamp shades in the Midwest at the high end antique shows around 1981. Upon her passing one of the ladies who made them for Verona continued to produce them. She had since passed down the tradition of making the lamp shades to her daughter.
The shades are hand embroidered on pieces of antique homespun. Each one is unique with its own personality. They are like a Grandma Moses paintings, a work of art. There are numerous different scenes duplicating homes, farms, countryside's, sailing ships, etc.
These are the shades that have been selling at the February Nashville Tailgate Antique Show for many years.
We will be posting more as we receive them.
If they intrigue you please call Susan and she will be happy to tell you more about them.
